WEST BRIDGFORD NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH GROUP

(WBNWG)

The Aims of the Group are to encourage and participate in initiatives to improve and sustain the effectiveness of Neighbourhood Watches in West Bridgford, Gamston and Edwalton.

We liaise closely with Rushcliffe Borough Council, local Councillors, the local Police at West Bridgford Police Station and we link to the local Watches via their scheme co-ordinators.

Current Initiatives:-

  1. Over the past year, we have distributed a number of leaflets describing security tips with a seasonal theme.
    These are:-
    -   Eight Easter Tips
    -   Summer Sense
    -   Autumn Oughts
    -   Twelve tips for Christmas

Click on each one to download a pdf file.

  2. 2 Steps Ahead - this is a campaign to draw people’s attention to straightforward steps to deter and prevent crime. It involves distribution to households an information card containing primary crime prevention steps + useful info. These are being distributed via the local network of NW Co-ordinators. For further info, please contact WBNWG Chairperson

  3. WBNWG has distributed DATALINK - an emergency information scheme. Key information e.g. medical conditions, contact nos. are stored in a small capsule and placed in the fridge door. Stickers in the house alert the emergency services to this if they ever have to make an emergency entrance. The scheme is due for review. For further info, please contact Chairperson
